Jetzt mal abgesehen von diesen ganzen lustigen aserbaidschanischen Propaganda-Artikeln:
Ist das auf dem Foto Maaßen?
Sind die Aserbaidschan Besuche irgendwo dokumentiert?
@sl007 Eer soll das denn sonst sein? Jede Wette, dass das Maaßen ist.
[reasons cont.]
- de-skilling and impact on beginners; I fear that beginners (me included) feel pressured to only release 'polished' things, because of all the 'polished' things around. This will impact learning negatively.
- social and environmental; renting the ability to create will certainly lead to many issues down the line. Even open-weight local models don't exist without the destructive system of the big players
This is not a finished thought and I don't have a solution.

@lavaeolus I feel like the biggest reasons are explicitly political, the companies pushing out AI and that are the most invested in it are fascists.
fwiw the 1TB SanDisk micro-SD card is half price on Amazon UK right now https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-128GB-microSDXC-adapter-Performance/dp/B0B7NYN3N3 if i had £100 i'd be getting this for my phone
@davidgerard The last time I bought one of those it was about £85. But that was before Sam Goddamn Altman nuked the FLASH market last year.
Another go, a different variation on this idea from last week -
Wizard idea, they can adjust the flow of time and fate by tying different knots and unknotting other parts of their cape.

@catsalad cat sabotaging my brothers truck because I'm too slow making the kittyverse... 😺
Really tired of the "I worked at the kitten crushing factory for years, made a fuckton of money and now I found my conscience and get to tour the stages of the world telling people how to be ethical" grift.
the conflicted position of having been a PhD student who had to have all kinds of side quests that were both known to the supervisor and kept secret from the supervisor (like - publishing a book on the side with a friend...)
and then being a PhD supervisor with PhD students who have all kinds of side quests that appear to be competing with their ability to get their PhD done 😭
@ckohtala HAHAHAHA I didn’t know this was a known thing? My supervisor, of course, knew full well that I was writing an entirely separate book during the PhD, but we tried to ensure that nobody else did.
@catsalad I refuse! Do your worst!
@sindarina I warned you!
(Also, graffiti is factually correct!)
